The planets Venus & Saturn are the eyes of the smiling moon. The logo of UKG. The signs are ancient and elusive but somehow lighting the way for me. I’ll find my way through this labyrinth called life. The stars provide light . They suggest something deeper and more appealing exists. I do not know where heaven is but I am in rush to find out at this moment. Right now I will use the tools provided to help navigate the maze and this app is a very useful compass to monitor my finances and work routine. It helps me sustain my lifestyle and predict my next paycheck. It has its flaws. It signs me out quite often and some of the features seem to to be a work in progress. I like it the best of the apps I’ve used in the industry I work in. Its pros outweigh the cons giving it the leverage that it deserves to shape my opinion.

The layout for filling out a time card on the phone app is way too clumsy. First off you have to type in your start hour, then you have to scroll through the hours and minutes to put in your out punch. Then you have to hit return to get back to you’re next punch in of the day and type in the time, then for the punch out again you have to scroll to put in the out time for that punch. Please make it where there is one way to put in the time either typing the hour and minute and then a.m. or p.m., or make the employee scroll through the hour a minute and then. Another inefficient and time wasting design mistake for the time input on the app is once you fill out the first week of your two week pay period you have to hit a tab at the bottom of the screen to enter the dates for the second week and you have to do that for every single day instead of having all 14 days available to scroll down to if you fill out one day and want to go to another day in the second week you once again have to go to the bottom of the screen from the first week and hit the tab so that you can get access to the dates from the second week. It’s way too clumsy and cumbers. It’s just really stupid design.

I am appalled that this app even has as high of a rating as it does. It lacks the ability of simple features that can be easily addressed such as the schedule being synced seamlessly to the device ie phone, tablet, computer, yet this feature is not available. The ability to scroll through the schedule with detail without it having to reload can be frustrating because the details of the schedule has to reload when needing to view the rest of the schedule for the rest of the week. The lack of notifications of receiving messages and if there are open shifts available. These are some of the flaws that this app can fix easily and make it a full 5 star rating. UKG has come a long way over the past year or so and has been much better, I would honestly give it a 3 star rating since it was horrible about a year ago, but it does deserve 1 star for its inability to improve the simple fixes of what I had mentioned. I also left numerous messages for feedback with my email for a response and have yet to get an email back.
