Use it. Try it. I was hesitant at first. Staying on some strangers property did not seem ideal. I paid for expensive overcrowded campgrounds or state parks. There are so many sites on here, you can find a secluded one easily, close to where you need to be. Simple. Easy. Upfront. Don't make the same mistake I did and take forever to finally try it.

The App itself could be smoother. It resets if you navigate away then back to it, like looking up a credit card number, for instance. We have stayed at several Hipcamps, none with trash bins. So you pay to camp, but someone else has to pay to dispose of your trash - gas stations, parks, & rest areas. Many Hipcamps are not aware of the height and width of motorhomes, truck campers, and fifth wheels - so overhead branches and brush are not trimmed properly.

I have used this app to manage now 10 sites on our property across 3 booking platforms over the last 3 years. It's usually a flawless experience, with the exception of occasional unpredictable calendars not synching between platforms. You don't realize they aren't syncing until you have a double booking, that is frustrating but does not occur often and support will assist any way they can.
