Lens is a VERY useful app that I use nearly every day. I use it to capture text from images. Circle to search works for that as well, but is harder to use and also results in a string of words with no formatting. Lens preserves formatting. To grab a screen of text, press volume up and power at the same time. Then press the share icon and choose "Lens" - then simply highlight the text you want to capture. Besides the capture, a search of the text and results are presented. Great job Google!

This has helped me so many times trying to figure out what things were, but the real winner here is the translate option! I've never used it before until now! I recently bought something where the instructions were in another language. Pulled up Google Lens and was able to translate it. I actually started my screen recorder, and I clicked the "listen" open to have it read. Now when I go to put this together, I'll just play the screen recording and pause it whenever I need to!

This is a very nice way to search online for unusual items that you can't name, or forget what they're called. Just place the item by itself with a plain background and capture it with lens, just like you were taking a smartphone photo. Then wait a moment and let it search. I'm having FUN! It's very addictive and it's really helping me find similar items to whatever I point at, whether in a catalog or in person. Also superb for price comparison. But I need to find more Dollar stores around
