Finally, the iOS version of the app is released, and I hope to add more features.

Throw a dying man a bottle of water and he’ll be happy. That’s this app. I’m pleased that it finally exists so I get push notifications for approvals but the app itself doesn’t do much else. I can’t release approved apps, and I can’t manage releases either. On top of that, the app itself is just mediocre - scrolling is very choppy/frame dropping, and swipe back gesture doesn’t work. It feels like a non-native app someone just threw together in a few days. I would expect more from Google - are they not incentivized to have developers use their platform more?

It’s not surprising that, despite its simplicity and the fact that it comes from Google, this app extracts a large amount of data linked to each individual user. While this may not be surprising, it’s still shocking to see that the app collects eight different types of user data, compared to only two that are not linked to individuals. When you compare the data Google collects to that of other companies, you often find that much of it isn’t necessarily required for the app’s basic functionality. Take ChatGPT vs. Gemini, for example.
