As a person that was very frustrated with Candy Crush, I stumbled across this game and became hooked. I love the variety of ways to obtain extra lives because a lot of us do not have extra cash (I am level 10,000+ and haven’t purchased anything). I love the variety of the puzzles, which they indicate how hard prior to you starting the puzzle. Some I finish in minutes and a few have taken a few days of casual play. Honestly, I would get bored if all puzzles only took a few minutes. There is a great feeling of success when you solve a tough puzzle. Unlike Candy Crush there are a lot of ways to get free stuff. Daily prizes, group prizes, and many “side games”. The only thing I wish, but hasn’t affected my game play, is getting timed extra that has to be used immediately and can’t be saved up. Again, does change my 5 stars as it is my top game to destress. Some of the teams are super intense about winning, it took me while to find the right mix. Enough people who play regularly, but not the constant threat about being cut from the team if not contributing enough. Maybe that is your thing, just not mine. For me it is a game to give me a 15-20 minute break.

This game has been aggressively “stealing” opportunities to force you to purchase their in-app features. In the beginning and I was spending a lot of money on this game and it was absolutely disgusting. I learned how to play better by only using wherever they gave me and would sometimes play levels no matter how many tries to purposely avoid buying “boosts.” If you win a lot of coins, the game will rig it to make it virtually impossible to pass a level without using an additional amount of coins by giving you less moves than a normal game. If you do a contest to win coins, the levels will always be harder. They have even “stolen” my magic disc AFTER I successfully passed multiple levels using it. It will reset back to no disc. The first time, I thought I did something wrong and may be closed out of a game early so the second time I paid attention and they took it away from me again after I successfully passed a level. I was so upset about it that I paid attention to every single level that I passed and it happened to me a third time which made me write this review!!! I really need to delete this app honestly. Also, they charge a ridiculous amount if coins to “keep playing.” 100, 200, 400 - so three attempts it’s only five moves. By the way it cost you 700 coins, which is crazy. It’s more of a money than anything. So if you play it, be determined to have a strict budget with this app. Don’t play to win. Play for fun. If you win, it’s a bonus.

The game does not have a level map or a replay option, so you have to move forward no matter what. Overall, Toon Blast is a great game for puzzle lovers who enjoy a good challenge and a lot of fun. It has a lot of pros, such as the happy and positive vibes, the cartoony and high quality graphics and sounds, but it also has some cons, such as the high difficulty and the lack of a replay option. If you are looking for a game that will test your skills and make you smile, Toon Blast is the game for you. 😊
