it used to be great. that is until they thought popping up videos as you scroll past it thinking you're going to watch it. I can't believe they thought this was a good idea without the option to disable it. Very intrusive. I can't think of any other main stream media app that has inconvenienced users in this way. I've gotten to the point where I opt to open my other apps first. By then I've lost interest in opening the nbc app because of the videos popping up.

NBC is steadily making this app worse. Now a video pops up everytime and won't go away. The X does not close the video. The screen turns white a LOT. When you scroll the news, the screen jumps up and down as ads appear and it's difficult to see. Scroll to the top and refresh, and the screen jumps halfway down. This is really really stupid. Please fire all your app developers and hire two dozen monkeys instead. I'm sure they will do a better job!

This is a great app and my go to for news. Unfortunately, I can only give it 1 star. Since the format has changed, there are no more sections for science, LGBTQ, sports, etc. on the front page nor do I get top stories from my local NBC affiliate, which I found extremely useful. The news articles (a few) seem to also repeat as you scroll. As it is now, the new version of the app feels disjointed. I don't mind searching for what I'm looking for. I don't like seeing the same articles twice.
